This weekend go and see…. Witches & Wicked Bodies
For over 500 years witches have held an enduring attraction for artists. These two photographs from the National Photography Collection are currently on display in this new exhibition alongside depictions of witches by a diverse range of artists including Albrecht Dürer, Francisco de Goya, William Blake, Paula Rego and Cindy Sherman. Witches & Wicked Bodies explores the representation of witches throughout art history, from hideous hags to beautiful seductresses.
Witches & Wicked Bodies at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art until 3rd November 2013.
